Photographer. Author. Storyteller.
People make the picture.
I’m Tommy Corey. I hold a lot of titles—photographer, author, journalist, thru-hiker—but I think my most important role is helping people feel seen.
I’m curious about who people are, what they’ve lived through, and what we might recognize in each other when we take the time to listen. My work gives me a reason to ask those questions—and a way to share what I find.
Portraits with a personality. Stories with a pulse.
From Hiker Trash Vogue, which began while I was thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, to All Humans Outside, my first published book, this is a selection from 25 years behind the camera—personal projects, commissioned work, and the people whose stories have stayed with me.
THE SELECTED WORK
Curiosity got me here.
I grew up in Redding, California, and first picked up a camera at twelve—my dad’s Olympus OM-1. I’ve been curious about people ever since.
That curiosity has taken me down the Pacific Crest Trail, into strangers’ lives, and through the making of All Humans Outside and Bloomline Collective. Whether I’m making a portrait or telling a longer story, I want people to feel seen.
I’m a photographer, an author, a thru-hiker, and a person who believes the best part of going somewhere is who you meet along the way.
Let’s make something beautiful
A milestone, a good story, or simply an excuse to get in front of the camera—I’d love to hear what you have in mind.
Portraits, for whatever brings you here.
Families, engagements, personal portraits, boudoir, outdoor adventures, and shoots just for fun. I also work with influencers and creators who want photographs that feel like them.
Photography for brands and publications.
Editorial assignments, brand imagery, and photographs that introduce the people behind a business and bring their work to life.
Stories in words and motion.
Interviews, written features, and video stories about people, places, and communities worth getting to know.
Weddings, with your people at the center.
The celebration, the quiet moments, and the friends and family who make the day yours.
Tell me a little about your idea, where you are, and what you’re hoping to make. We’ll start there.
